ADA, a label of the Warner Music Group, inked a global distribution deal with Platinum Records, a Dubai-based record label. This is Warner’s first regional deal which will bring Platinum Records’ physical and digital music to a global audience.
The deal first went into effect last December when Platinum Records launched its Arabic catalog and its first single “Really Good.” “Really Good” is the work of US based Iraqi musician Julian. ADA will also support the release of Moroccan singer Jamila’s album “Bint Hadidiya,” expected to hit the global marketplace in mid-April.
Platinum Records chief Taymoor Marmarchi said:
“We are delighted to announce that Platinum Records has signed a global distribution deal with ADA. Our hugely popular artists and growing catalog of music and videos will now be discoverable by new audiences and Platinum Records content will be made available to every leading global and local digital retailer, reaching music fans around the world.”
ADA Worldwide President Eliah Seton said:
“Taymoor and his team have built an impressive roster and brand and we’re incredibly excited to welcome Platinum Records into the ADA family. Platinum represents an important milestone for ADA, as we grow in all markets around the world and in our effort to provide a global solution for independent labels.”
