Ali Amer is the new managing director for Global Service Provider and Sales in the Middle East and Africa for technology company Cisco.
His job will be to assist telecommunications service providers to change the experience of networks, businesses and customers’ experiences so they can better take advantage of the unique opportunities offered by the era of digitization.
Amer first began working for Cisco in 2013. His most recent role was as managing director of Cisco’s service provider division in the Middle East and Turkey.
He will be responsible for the division’s sales strategy, encouraging growth in the MENA region. Another goal for Amer will be to streamline business operations, especially sales. He will also focus on business development and customer support.
Another important concern will be working with mobile operators in the region, developing their digital transformation strategies as they move their business and revenue models to satisfy the growing demand for data services and financial and commercial services.
