Another natural gas discovery has been located off the coast of Israel by Nobel Energy. The economic ramifications of this will probably be enormous. First, Israel will no longer need to import gas from Egypt, but will itself become an exporter. An increased supply of gas will lower the price of gas internationally, supply Israel with all of its domestic needs, and stabilize the Israel economy.
It may well be that Israel will need to bring in financial and mining help from western oil companies, who will in turn be an influence in the Middle East. In addition, foreign companies will probably want to explore for new gas fields.
